This is a space where I can give more details regarding individual paintings and you can see some of my inspiration photos as well as details. These are the pieces of work that require more time to complete due to size or complexity of materials. They are painted as gallery exhibits, for collectors and also make excellent statement pieces in the home.
Please contact me directly on firstname.lastname@example.org if you are looking for a statement piece to be made especially for you or your organisation.
Glossy Pebbles (Sold)
This A2 watercolour was painted on 100% cotton paper. A grey sky with blue lit clouds lead the eye to a cool sun on the horizon. The waves contain shades of turquoise through to dark jewel blues. Waves splash onto a beach of large irregular pebbles. This is my largest painting to date and as each wave requires multiple colours it was a real lesson in how long it takes to get multiple layers over that kind of surface area! I love how the sea glistens.
Golden Echinacea (Sold)
3 x 14.8x21cm
A set of three watercolour and ink on canvas. Echinacea, rudbeckia, tulips and tiny coral bell flowers on a warm background these paintings have tiny floral details throughout. Metallic bronze detailing and golden yellows create a warm and colourful set. This trio was painted onto a prepared and stretched canvas rather than onto watercolour paper which is really unusual for this media. It gives the original loads of texture and the paint has blended and run in really vivid ways.
